Solarize Skagit Installations (2023-2025)
Solarize Skagit has successfully made 46 community-driven solar installations across Skagit Valley, shown in the image below.
Other Projects Include:
EPA Electric School Bus Grant: In collaboration with Highland Electric Fleets for the La Conner School District, advancing the electrification of school buses.
Grant Procurement: Secured funding to support clean energy initiatives, including feasibility studies and solar installations.
Department of Commerce Grants (2023):
Feasibility Studies for Resilient Communities (Solar with Backup Battery Storage)
Town of La Conner Fire Station
La Conner Elementary & Middle Schools
EPIC Grants for Solar & Backup Battery Installation:
La Conner Middle School (installed solar and backup battery systems).
On the Drawing Board:
Electrification of School Fleets: Promoting the transition to electric school buses across Skagit Valley schools.
Skagit Valley College: Electrification of the college’s van fleet.
Solar for Farms: Expanding solar energy solutions for farm residences and agricultural structures.
Grant-Funded Initiatives: Leveraging an organizational grant from the Department of Commerce and support from the Norcliffe Foundation to drive clean energy projects.
